Here are some really fun ideas we found to go with our movie theme today. As always we found them all over the world-wide-web.

When Photo Booth of the Stars thinks of movies, we think of two things….candy, and popcorn!

Popcorn bars or buffets are a budget friendly option that is so versatile and easy to customize. Cook the popcorn any way you like or buy pre-made which is also convenient.

Some flavors you could include are:

  • Chocolate
  • Plain
  • Caramel Corn
  • Bacon Popcorn

Anniversary Party Inspiration

There’s no better way to celebrate an anniversary of a couple than with a party! Whether you are hosting one for a couple you know and love, or are throwing one for you and your love, it is definitely something worth celebrating!

It doesn’t matter if it is your 5th or 50th make it special and a day that you will both remember.

We love this sweets display nook that we found from Elana over at Just Me Prints that she used for her 10th anniversary. The sweet treats alone look absolutely divine and the ‘we still do’ lettering is a really nice touch. It is a real inspiration and just proves that even small spaces can create a really big impact at your party.

Aren’t these 5th anniversary bbq invitations adorable? We sure think so and were overjoyed when we came across them at Oh So Beautiful Paper.

We love this idea for a sign filled path if your venue allows for this type of walk way. What a fun way for your guests to really get a fun look into the years shared together throughout your relationship.

Signs are such a great element to have at any party. Especially if a chunk of your party budget is going toward a photographer to capture moments throughout the day, the details like this are what will produce photographs that give you a lifetime of memories to share with the ones you love.

How awesome would it be to have your love story portrayed by signs like above captured by your photographer? You could give framed photos as gifts to your children, hang in your home as art work, and so many other heartfelt things that are beyond significant to your love story.

We found this awesome picture of a sign backdrop over at RockNRollBride that would be perfect for a wedding or an anniversary party. The “Grow old with me! The best is yet to be!” saying is fit for either occasion and we just love the canvas back drop! This would be perfect behind your sweets table, or to use as your photo booth backdrop. We just love everything about it.

This would be equally perfect if you printed a quote from your wedding vows, or any readings or quotes that were used during your wedding ceremony. Your guests will love hearing the story behind where the backdrop inspiration originated.

This cake from Celebration Generation really allows you to display your treasured photo memories in a whole new way. Of course you can have photographs spread throughout your venue, but this literally puts the icing on the cake. J

This is definitely the ultimate display for any anniversary but especially if it is a milestone tribute. Why not display your wedding dress? If you still have it, flaunt it! Considering the amount of time and hard earned dollars that went into making this final selection if you chose your own, it only makes sense to get all of the ‘miles’ off of it. If you wore the dress of ones before you then this type of display will be even more of a blessing to you. Show it off and let everyone know your past, present, and future at your anniversary celebration.

Party Finger Food Ideas

Everyone knows that one of the best things about a party is the food. Guests look forward to a day or night out to get away from the norm and you won’t disappoint with any of these recipes.

Finger foods are the best option for a party when you want your guests to be social and mingle with one another. It allows the freedom to roam while still enjoying in the delicious items that you have to offer.

There are just some occasions where a sit down dinner just is not necessary: Pool parties, graduation parties, some weddings depending on the hour of the day it is held, corporate events, and so many other alternatives.

These cucumber roll ups with sun dried tomato sauce will have you throwing your cut veggie straws and dip aside and letting these bad boys take the crown. They are such an upgrade to the traditional party snack and your guests will love them.

We got the recipe and picture from and the recipe is so simple that you can make these up for your next party or even just for a snack to enjoy.

Crispy baked ravioli is a great option for hosting a small group or a large bunch since it is so easy to double or even triple with this recipe from My Recipes.

Mmm! Roasted red peppers are so beneficial to your health and skin so it wouldn’t hurt to add more of them to all of our menus.

The photo above and yummy recipe come from Two Forks One Love. This recipe may be a bit more time consuming since you have to char each pepper and then rub the char off but if you have the time or some little helpers to assist you it would be well worth it. The dish is so bright and fresh and is the perfect appetizer for the summer time.

This is a cute twist on the standard cheese and crackers. This is a great way to dress up a standard appetizer and we’re guessing it will be quite a conversation starter as well.

Cute Food for Kids posted this adorable picture and idea using a little straw (from a juicebox) to cut the circles out of black olives for buttons. If the olive gets stuck in the straw simply push it out with a tooth pick. So cute and you can see the entire tutorial HERE.

If you are looking for something a bit heartier or filling, these lobster sliders will do the trick for you! These babies scream summer time and offer a nice refreshing option as opposed to the common, mini burger. Not that we don’t love us a mini burger as well but it is always nice to let your guests experience something different that they will truly consider a treat.

We found the picture and full recipe can be found at taste by Williams Sonoma HERE.

Whatever you decide to serve at your next party just be sure it is something that gives you joy.

Pool Party Inspiration

Chicago weather is expected to heat up again this weekend! Sounds like the perfect opportunity to host a pool party!

A pool party is a great way to entertain groups of all ages. If you don’t have your own pool take advantage of all of the pools open near you this summer and make your life even easier by not having to clean you home before and after the party.

Be sure to check in with your pool or club beforehand to see the rules and regulations of groups and to see if you can bring your own snacks and beverages for the party. You may have to rent out the pool or a section for a small fee but you will be sure to make a splash among your guests.

Photo booths are a must at every event and a pool party is no exception. Be sure to get some photo booth pool swim party printable props for your guests to have some fun with and get crazy in the photo booth rental.

We found these printable photo booth props on Etsy of course on Paper&Cake and you can just print, cut and PARTY! These will really make your photo booth pictures pop!

The props include:

Mustaches (3 styles) Lips (3 styles) Lifeguard sunglasses Lifeguard badge and lifesaver Dive Mask & Snorkel Swim Goggles Beach Balls Pennant Banner + Signage +

What’s even better than photo booth props? Customizable photo booth props! The pennant banner and signage are all customizable so you can easily personalize them on the fly!

Anytime you are hosting an outdoor event it is a nice gesture to provide a sun protection station for them to use. You know how it can be when you are racing to get out of the house to make it to a party on time, especially if you are bringing the kids along, the last thing you might think of is putting on your SPF. Your guests will appreciate it.

There are so many cute ideas for snacks for a beach or pool themed party. These little lifesavers as floaties are a fantastic idea. You can also use all of the different colored licorice strands and call them pool noodles.

These pool noodle luminaries are a great inexpensive way to add a little splash of color during the daytime party hours, and at night create a little ambiance for you to enjoy. These were found on Create Craft Love.

Ok now, this pool used to keep your refreshments cool seems like a must have for your party. Especially if you are planning on being in the pool and joining in on the fun. You won’t have time to make drinks and serve everyone. Just throw them in a pool filled with ice and enjoy the day! This great idea was found on Pinterest Via Kimberly Fry.

These colorful sunglasses will make for awesome thank you party favors for all of your guests to enjoy during the sunny fun, and take along home with them. Found on

All about Favors

Favors are small gifts that you give to your guests at your wedding, party, or whatever type of soiree you are hosting.  They are a small token to show your guests appreciation and gratitude for their attendance and support for you and whatever it is you are celebrating.

Selecting your favors can be extremely easy if you are hosting a themed event and want to have a specific favor that pulls the entire event together.  They can also be really tough since when it comes to favors, there is such a vast variety to choose from.  There are options that can fit in everyone’s budget too.

Tasty edible favors are a nice treat for your guests to enjoy at their leisure. We love the trail mix in the jar as shown in the photo above.  Jams and Jellies, honey, syrups, and oils also make fabulous favors.

Cake pops are a budget friendly option for any event. They are a great addition to any event and can be completely designed to tie in your theme. Whether you are hosting a baby shower like the blue ones above, or having wedding inspired creations for your Big Day, everyone loves a cake pop! They are so good! The only downside to giving them as favors is that your guests are going to wish they had more than one.

We found these cake pops on TheLollicakesBakery store on etsy. There are a variety of colors and styles to choose from to put a sweet touch on your party or event.

There are tons of different Etsy shops that offer cake pops to fit any party or theme. Like the ones above that we found on HydesSweetTreats that include little bride and groom cake pops. Too cute!

Believe it or not football season is creeping around the corner and these little football pops would be a hit at your kickoff party!

We just love these ready to pop favors for you baby shower! What’s really cool about these favors from dellcovespices Etsy shop, is that you have a variety of popcorn kernels to choose from and they can even coordinate the kernels to match your colors and the gift tag is customizable too!

The popcorn kernel varieties we carry include:

Black Pearl Popcorn – Looks black on the outside, but pops white with an occasional gray hue. They tend to be a smaller corn when popped, but they carry more antioxidants than either the red or yellow. Quite crunchy.

Baby White – A heritage crop that dates way back, this is a popcorn with no hull. That means the crisp texture is mild and there’s no hulls to get stuck in your teeth!

Extra large Amish Caramel — Fat and deep gold in color, this is your classic movie theater popcorn, only better. Pops big, with a creamy texture and a mellow flavor.

Midnight Blue – The color of the sky just as day turns to night. This corn pops medium-sized and tastes sweet. A great corn to pair with our Kettle Corn topping!

Royal Purple – A deep, blue-purple color that pops white and has a slight nutty taste. Perfect for an afternoon snack. Over the Rainbow – A colorful mixture of the blue, gold, purple, red and white corns. Festive and fun for a party!

Red Diamond Valley – A deep, dramatic red, like tiny little rubies. When it pops, the corn is white with a subtle yellow hue. The texture is a nice mix of fluffy and crunchiness, and has a nutlike flavor.

Last week we covered some delicious 4th of July food ideas and today we are covering the décor and other fun filled items to kick off the celebration.

Summer weather is in upon us and if you are heading out to the park this week for a picnic, you are going to love these printable patriotic lunch bags from 30 Handmade days. If you weren’t planning an upcoming picnic these little bags will make you want to go on one! They would be equally brilliant to use as favors for your 4h of July party.

Head on over to 30 Handmade days and get the printable so you can get your bags printed and ready to go.

Now, since the 4th is right around the corner you better get those invitations sent out stat. Of course you can always go the e-vite route and get your invitations on which is a great way to get the invites out with a quickness.

But if you do have a little time on your hands a mailed invitation always seems so much more special. They don’t even have to cost a dime. You can get some free party invitation pintables at Moritz fine designs. There are 5 different options to pick from and each one is as cute as the next.

Add some light ambiance to you backyard gathering with these awesome patriotic luminaries found on Hometalk by Melissa@KeepCalmandDecorate. If you are going to be outside then sticking a citronella candle in would be a must.

This is a great way to recycle your used glass candle holders and is great inspiration for so many other ideas and holidays.

We are loving these patriotic lip and mustache photo booth props for you to print cut and enjoy! We got them off of Fox Hollow Cottage. They are so adorable and will be an excellent touch for your photo booth rental.

If you will be attending a parade held for the 4th of July, you will want to make some of these adorable wands to tote along with you and get celebrating. You can find the DIY on Eighteen25 which is very simple to make and only takes a few items including wooden dowels, some different ribbons of your choice. You can use anywhere from 3-10 depending on your preference and they can be red, white, blue, and whatever patterns you desire. Other than that you just need some screw eyes, and spray paint if you wish to paint the dowel rod in a color. Very easy!

Want to really impress your guests at your party? Create some star-quality lawn décor by taking a star stencil and some white flour. You could edge your entire out door space, walkway, or where ever you feel these stars would make a nice touch.

Have a fun and safe 4th everyone!
