The Ultimate Classic Thanksgiving Dinner

Only a few days left to prepare for your Thanksgiving Day feast! While there are thousands of recipes and side dishes that can accompany your turkey on the table this week, we just love the classics. Photo Booth of the Stars decided we’d put together the ultimate classic menu for you to enjoy this Thursday.

When it comes to cooking for the holidays and special occasions it is best to leave nothing to chance. That’s why for the turkey we are trusting Martha Stewarts Perfect Roast Turkey recipe to please our guests palettes.

This recipe includes brining your turkey for 24 hours, so be sure to allow plenty of time to prepare this bird. For those who may not know, the sole purpose of brining is to moisten your meat whereas marinating is used to flavor meat.

Green Bean Casserole

Even the pickiest kids we know that usually avoid the green beans on their plate like the plague delight in green bean casserole. It’s creamy, crunchy goodness will have you coming back for seconds, thirds, and possibly even fourths if you are so inclined.

We trust in the age old Betty Crocker classic recipe for this casserole is the way to go.  This simple 4-ingredient recipe is a cinch to make but is likely to be the first to disappear come meal time.

Mashed Potatoes

Putting together classic mashed potatoes could not be made easier with this recipe from Barefoot Contessa.   The most challenging part of this recipe will be peeling all the potatoes. You’d better call in for backup with this task! It sounds like the perfect task for little helping hands to keep busy while you are keeping busy preparing the rest of the menu.

Cornbread and Sausage Stuffing

You can’t have a Thanksgiving dinner without having a delicious stuffing to eat along with that turkey. This recipe from the Food Network courtesy of The Neelys uses store-bought cornbread to help cut your work load. That is always fantastic news when you have enough on your plate already – pun intended!

The key to the perfect gravy is the proper proportions of your ingredients. With only a few ingredients it is no wonder why knowing the correct formula will either make or break your gravy. We love Taste of Homes recipe for a classic Turkey Gravy Recipe that you can find and make here.

We are going to leave the cranberry sauce to one of our favorites, again Martha Stewart. You can get the recipe here and make it in a snap. With only 4-ingredients this dish will be on the table being gobbled down in no time.

Awesome Photo Booth Ideas For Your Event

There are so many different types of photo booth options to consider for your upcoming special event. The classic step-in photo booth will never go out of style, but there are so many others to consider as well. Here are some of our favorites at Photo Booth of the Stars.

Enclosed Booth

You just can’t go wrong with our classic step-in photo booths. There are so many reasons that everyone loves this classic option, but the it seems the biggest is because of the privacy that they offer to you and your guests. They can fit anywhere from two to four guests squeezed inside to create some really candid shots that will make you smile for years to come.

It’s a great option for those hosting events for groups that may not be so intimate such as a corporate event. It allows guests to have the peace of mind that since not everyone can see them posing inside they can let their guard down and really get into it.

We just love a good Framed Photo Booth and we love how they are becoming increasingly popular. We have seen some really impressive designs both in person and online. Today we just have to share some of them with you, prepare to be impressed.

We just love this elegant and formal backdrop for a photo booth. While you can’t pose behind the frames in this particular setup, that chair is so inviting. Just imagine the fun guests would have pulling props out of that adorable trunk placed right beside it.

This is another fabulous idea for some framed-fun in the photo booth. What a great shot of the new Mr. and Mrs.

By creating a backdrop with a menagerie of shaped and sized frame cut outs you create the perfect opportunity for guests to dive in and create some unique picture opportunities.  There are so many possibilities for poses with these and it allows for numerous guests to get in on the fun all at once.

Scenic Style Photo Booths provide a wonderfully unique shot that also allows you to include larger groups within each shot. These are really popular for weddings since there is often so many beautiful picturesque views and scenery at venues.

We just love the way the over sized frame in the picture above captures the magnificent scenery behind the bride and groom. That is a brilliant way to capture all of the beauty surrounding your perfect day in a natural setting such as above.

DIY backdrops are another one of our favorites, because you can completely customize them to mesh perfectly with your events theme.  Be as creative and crafty as you want and really tie your overall event look together this way.

One of the reasons we love the DIY option so much, is that you don’t have to have an intense or intricate design in order to create a beautiful back drop. Some of the most wonderful ideas that we have come across were the most simplistic to create yet they are so bold that they really capture the attention of your guests and command the room.  What are your favorite Photo Booth setups?

We just love the look of black and gold.

Even better than the black and gold is this adorable setup for the photo booth made for a birthday party from Double Fun Parties. The sheet music backdrop is such a fun and fitting touch and it is simply suspended on a clothing rack covered with black curtains and gold tie backs. The microphone prop shown in the above picture is a children’s toy.

Hay bales make for wonderful photo booth props as shown in the picture above found on Catch My Party. They make equally fabulous décor inside and out of the party. If you are planning on having a cozy fall bonfire afterwards, be sure to get several for additional seating around the fire pit.

These cute little cake pops we got off of FISKARS are adorned with little awards are the perfect treat for your guests to munch on. People love cake pops. They are absolutely scrumptious and you better order or make extras because they always go fast!

Yum! Check out these black and white oreo cake pops from SewCakeMake. They almost look too good to eat…..almost!

These mason jars found on BeyondBeyond are the perfect little place saver, favor, and cup. Talk about a triple threat!

It’s always entertaining to have some form of game to be played during the award show itself. You can easily create your own version like the one above from IVillage that your guests can play along with during the event. Customize your bingo cards to coordinate with your guests’ personalities and sit back and watch how much fun everyone has. Put together some really festive swag for guests to win!

You can do a little prep work and put together a playlist for before and after the awards show ceremony. If you need some help compiling a list head on over to The Boot and check out this list of the top 10 Party Songs in Country Music. A little prep work goes a long way when entertaining. Your guests will thank you!
