3.  Progressive Muscle Relaxation

Ever hear of it?  This is a technique for stress management and reduction that can be greatly appreciated by any individual and especially if you are in the midst of planning a lavish event whether it be a wedding, corporate function, facilitating a prom, or a fundraiser.

According to the American Medical Student Association “Progressive muscle relaxation is a technique that involves tensing specific muscle groups and then relaxing them to create awareness of tension and relaxation. It is termed progressive because it proceeds through all major muscle groups, relaxing them one at a time, and eventually leads to total muscle relaxation.”

4.  Get organized.

Clutter can be a contributing factor to stress so take some time to organize your surroundings.  You will feel so much better knowing all of your vendor contracts are neatly put away and will know exactly where to find them when you need them.  There is an overwhelming amount of paperwork involved when planning an event or wedding so do yourself a favor and keep everything organized from the start.

5.  Dance!

Put on your favorite song and cut a rug.  Just listening to music you love can cure a bad mood and dancing gets the body moving which helps relieve the aches and pains in muscles.  Dancing of course gets blood pumping and your heart racing which releases hormones and endorphins that will energize you and create a happy body and mind!
